If you like reading or watching mysteries, don’t miss History’s Mysteries presented by Friends of Columbia. The setting is the 1850s and you are called upon to solve an actual crime that occurred in our mining town. Not only will you witness the results of the crime, you’ll also have an opportunity to personally interview key members to the crime. Then, you’ll help select one person from your group to question people on the stand. At the end, you will determine the outcome of the crime.
Test your skills at being a detective or at least, an investigative reporter as you explore the facts, only the real facts. Remember…don’t judge a book by its cover and the most obvious evidence may not necessarily be the truth. And especially, do not be too quick to judge circumstantial evidence and convict an innocent person unjustly of a crime.

Come and enjoy an event of intrigue, fun and of course, mystery in old town Columbia. Bring along your family members and friends to this reenactment of a crime in a 49er setting.
